SMS provides micro-welding, which can deposit metal alloy or ceramic/ metal coatings. This process produces a nanostructural coating that is metallurgically bonded to the components structure.

This technique can be applied to localized surfaces or complex geometry. This capability allows SMS to repair many different components that have complex shapes and surfaces.
