SMS 1088SW

SMS1088SW are a series of hardfacings developed for applications as metallurgically bonded overlays in the thicknesses primarily in the range of .01-.08”. The overlays are available in hardnesses from Rockwell C 30 to Rockwell C 65 for extremely abrasive environments. The operating temperature range for SMS 1088sw is from ambient to over 1700° F. Typical applications include thermowells, pump and valve components, screws and rolls. For some applications Surface Modification Systems uses a proprietary welding technique to apply these materials in thicknesses over .100”.
